Alicia and Stella McCartney support Breast Cancer Awareness

| Activism

Alicia and Stella McCartney have teamed up to support Breast Cancer Awareness through McCartney’s annual campaign. Alicia wears the Ophelia Whistling lingerie set in Poppy Pink as a reminder for all women to keep healthy and get regular breast checks.

A percentage of all proceeds for this set are donated to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Examination Center in Harlem. Find out more or support the cause HERE.

From StellaMcCartney.com:

The campaign celebrates pride in being a woman and champions the independent voice of women. We above all want to highlight in this year’s campaign the inequalities in accessing early detection programs.

According to statistics there is a 42% higher chance of breast cancer mortality in African American women in the US, and this time around our campaign will support Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Examination Center of Harlem (BECH) which offers free quality care to its local community.

Alicia Keys was born and raised in Harlem and shares our strong belief in promoting early breast cancer detection and breaking any taboos surrounding it.
